To Buy Or Not To Buy? – Fairyloot – September 2021 – Uprising

Hi all! Fairyloot recently announced their September 2021 theme, which is Uprising! They already announced that the box will have two books, which is fun! Keep reading to learn more about the box and if I’ll be getting it this month!

As usual, all of the opinions in this post are my own, so please take them with a grain of salt, and don’t be offended if my least favorite fandom is your favorite. We all have our own preferences. 🙂

SPOILER ALERT! These posts will name the included book of the month, which often isn’t announced in advance. Please don’t continue to read if you want to be surprised by the book.

My Thoughts

Well, this is a fun theme, but unfortunately it’s not one that’s calling out to me, so I can probably keep this section pretty brief. Neither of the two books are ones that I desperately need a special edition of. This box is coming in the wake of Fairyloot’s August box, which also has two books (the main book will have stencil sprayed edges, and the second paperback will have solid sprayed edges.) In comparison to that, this box and it’s customizations seem a little bit lackluster in my eyes, unfortunately. I know that Defy the Night is a highly anticipated book from the same author as the hit A Curse So Dark and Lonely series, but I’m not really a diehard fan who needs this book.

Fairyloot hasn’t announced any items yet, so I don’t have anything to go off in that regard. However since their are going to be two books in the box, I have a feeling that the items might be on the smaller size. (Based on the typical Fairyloot box size.) I’m not against smaller items by any means (some of my favorite items have been among the smallest items in a box!) but I do like getting my value’s worth. The fandom’s don’t really speak to me this month either, so I don’t really need this box.

In conclusion, I’ll be passing on this box. No FOMO here! Besides, I’ll be saving my money for the wonderful October box which was just announced this morning. I’ll have a post about that up tomorrow!

Pros

  • Highly anticipated book
  • Two Books included!

Cons

  • Personally doesn’t appeal to me.
  • Items might be on the smaller side due to the two books.

Thanks for reading my ramble! Let me know in the comments what you think of the book, theme, and items! Would you get this box?

    1. Hi EL, I just checked through the post and only found one instance of a typo with “their.” I’ll assure you that I’m well aware of the difference due to my English degree and past experience with working for and interning at various book publishers. While I’ll thank you for pointing out my error, I’ll also let you know that you could have been much nicer about pointing out my error, and that your comment comes off as quite rude. However, I’ll wish you a great day regardless. 🙂
