My August TBR – Finally Getting Back to Reading!

Hi all! Would you believe that in the month on July, I didn’t read a single book?!?!? Scandalous, right? Honestly I simply wasn’t in the mood to read and needed to take a break in order to recharge. This month though, after receiving and ordering some books that I’m very excited for, I’m ready to get back into my #1 passion: reading. (Plus I should probably get back to writing blog reviews, right? Haven’t done many of those this year…)

Anyway, here’s my small TBR list for August, with honorable mentions at the end!

The Wolf and the Woodsman by Ava Reid

I got this book in my June Illumicrate and after waiting so long for it to arrive, I’m soooo excited to dive in and start! This is going to be my first read of August, so expect a review soon!

Gold Spun by Brandie June

The Bookish Box featured this book as their June pick. I didn’t get that box, but I managed to find a second-hand copy for a great price in a Facebook book group. I’m always down for a good retelling, and from the sample I read earlier, I’m probably going to love this one. (I have a different edition/cover than pictured here.)

Bones of Ruin by Sarah Raughley

I just got accepted to a blog tour with Turn the Page tours for this book! My post won’t go up until early September, but I’ll be reading it this month so that I’ll be ready for my review. I’m really intrigued by this book and am so excited for the Black representation in a Victorian London setting!

Honorable Mentions

(I think I’ll save my witchy/paranormal/fantasy books for next month, or for October!)
