My Thoughts
Yes. Yes, I will be getting this box. I figured that I might as well start this section by stating that, so that there’s no confusion. In late October or early November, expect to see an unboxing post on this blog.
Now, let’s get into why I’ll be getting this box. Once Upon a Broken Heart is the start of Stephanie Garber’s new spin-off series, which is related to the Caraval trilogy. It’s one of the most highly anticipated YA releases of the year, and you can tell that Fairyloot is well aware of that fact, based on the amount of amazing customizations they’re including on their edition. Even if I wasn’t personally excited for this book, I would still get the box, simply because I’m certain that the demand for this one is going to be high. It’s hard to find Fairyloot’s edition of Kingdom of the Wicked for less than $100 online, an I’m certain that will be the case here as well. If I don’t get it now, I probably never will! Besides that, I’m really excited to see what their edition looks like. I’m not crazy about the UK cover (or the US one, tbh) but I’m excited for the customizations and to see what their exclusive cover looks like.
As for the fandoms, I’m in love! I’m hoping that the blanket will be based on Addie Larue or Kingdom of the Wicked, and I hope that it’s more quote/design based than art, but we’ll see. Since we are getting a blanket and since the book’s value is already going to be so high, I imagine that our other items will probably be on the smaller side. Then again, I have been surprised before, so we’ll see! I’m excited for the collectable too. I think that they’re almost done with the tarot card collectable series, so I guess it’s time for something new to begin.
So yeah, that’s why I’m getting the box! High value, highly anticipated book, a blanket, great fandoms, and a new collectable item? Count me in!
Pros
- Highly anticipated book (Even if I don’t like it, I could easily resell it if I wanted.)
- Includes a Blanket!
- US based shipping center
Cons
- Other items might be on the smaller side
