Hello everyone! I’m back with another unboxing post and review today. This time, it’s for the “To Be Famous” mini box from Reel Bookish. I was excited when this mini box was announced, and I’m even more excited to share it with you all.
Mini boxes differ from the regular monthly boxes in that they feature a newly released YA novel with a film-centric storyline. Rather than having items that revolve around a corresponding film, the items are all based on the book, film, or box theme. The mini boxes feature fewer (but still high quality) items at a lower cost.
As a rep, this box was sent to me for free. However, I was not required or expected to write this post. All opinions are my own. My rep code is STARLIGHT10 if you want to try a box for yourself.

I tried something new and actually filmed and edited together an unboxing video for my IGTV! I’ll link it below!
Review
Ok, so having read and reviewed the book already, I can already say that the items in this mini box were quite on-point and perfect for this box. The book itself came with a signed bookplate and author letter!
The coasters were probably my favorite part! I’ll admit that at first I wasn’t too thrilled about the coasters, as we just received coasters in the August box, but I honestly like these ones better than the others. They’re both quite cohesive and absolutely beautiful, plus they’re ceramic(?) so they’re quite sturdy. I’m going to find a way to display them on my shelf because they’re so pretty! The story follows our protagonist from LA to NYC, so these are perfect to go along with the book!
The candle was revealed last month on Reel Bookish’s Instagram page. Given that our protagonist, Evie, and her beloved grandma are both talented actors, the “leading lady” name of the candle is perfect. The scent is subtle but relaxing, which I’m a big fan of!
Lastly, we have the totebag. I think that the design is really cute! Evie and Gigi are both such strong female characters, so it’s fitting that the totebag features Rosie the Riveter as a filmmaker. I probably won’t reach for this totebag too often, as I have a wide collection of totebags that I swap out depending on mood, outfit, and event, but I still like it.
All in all, I really liked the idea and execution of this mini box! I’d give it a solid 5 stars, as the value definitely exceeded the box price and the items were all quite high quality!
