October 2020 TBR – Bring on the Spooky Reads!

Happy October everyone! It’s officially spooky season. I don’t have too many spooky books planned for this month, but there are a few darker fantasy reads on my list that will help to bring on the spooky vibes. I’d love more recommendations though, so please leave them down below! Now, let’s get into the list of what I plan to read this month!

Kingdom of the Wicked – Kerri Maniscalco

I got soooo lucky and got approved for an ARC of this book a few days ago! I’ve been plowing through it as fast as I can and will probably finish it today or tomorrow. It’s already proving to be a new favorite! (Which is good, since I have 2 copies ordered already!)

A Golden Fury – Samantha Cohoe

I’m very excited to be participating in a blog tour for A Golden Fury in a few weeks! The moment I saw the cover and read the synopsis, I knew I wanted to read this one. I’ll start it after finishing KotW, so hopefully in just a few days.

Long Way Down: The Graphic Novel – Jason Reynolds and Danica Novgorodoff

This one is for another blog tour! I read Long Way Down a few years ago (I think it was during my blogging hiatus) and was surprised to see that it’s been adapted into a graphic novel. Full review coming soon!

The Puppetmaster’s Apprentice – Lisa DeSelm

I’m really excited for this one! And guess what… it’s for a bookstagram tour! It’s a dark fairytale retelling of Pinocchio and Frankenstein, which sounds PERFECT for an October read.

Some Other Now – Sarah Everett

For my last blog tour of the month, I’ll be reading Some Other Now! It sounds really interesting and contemporaries usually work as great palette cleansers for me between more intense dark fantasy reads.

Fable – Adrienne Young

Lastly, I have to squeeze in a read of Fable! I got it last month in my September Reel Bookish Box (unboxing post coming very soon!) and I’m going to be helping out with their read-along, so stay tuned for that.

Thanks for reading! What are you planning on reading this month? Any fun spooky reads I should add to my TBR? Let me know in the comments!
