Hi everyone! I officially declare that this is the month that I officially get back into reading regularly. I spent the earlier months of the pandemic either not interested in reading, or tackling more intimidating and time consuming books like The Name of the Wind and The Binding. This month I’m getting back into my usual YA fantasy books, so here’s my TBR. It’s nothing too ambitious as I didn’t want to overwhelm myself with a huge list.
Star Daughter by Shveta Thakrar

Star Daughter came in my August Owlcrate, and I actually started listening to the audiobook version of it (which has amazing pronunciations of Indian cultural terms that I’m not familar with.) I started it before September, but I’ll add it first to my September TBR as I’ll finish it this month.
Where Dreams Descend by Janella Angeles

I got this book in both my June Owlcrate and August Reel Bookish box, so it’s about time that I read it! I’ll be participating in a read-along with some of my fellow Reel Bookish reps, so I should have a review up by the end of the month!
Raybearer by Jordan Ifueko

How have I not read Raybearer yet?!? I got a finished copy as part of a Bookstagram tour a few weeks ago, and I somehow haven’t gotten to it yet! The US cover is beautiful and shiny and I can’t wait to read it. I’ve been loving YA fantasy books featuring #ownvoices Black protagonists, so I can’t wait to finally dive it.
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

Yes, I’ve already read (and loved) this book, but I never wrote a review and on top of that, Bloomsbury is hosting a read-along for this book this month, with read-alongs for the sequels in the subsequent months leading up to A Court of Silver Shadows in January 2021. Unfortunately my alma mater still has my physical copy of ACOTAR (I used it for a school project and it was never returned due to COVID) but luckily I have an e-book copy!
Are you making a TBR for this month? What’s on your list? Are you planning on reading anything from my TBR? Let me know in the comments below!
